Decoupage is a technique using napkins or ricepaper and applying just the top layer of the napkin on to the surface of the object making it look like the picture has been painted on. As a result, with so many different napkins and ricepapers on the market now the possibilities of turning ordinary plain items into something beautiful are endless.
Firstly these slates coasters has been painted white on the top of the coaster. The napkin has then been applied to the the coasters using the decoupage technique. Lastly two coats of exterior grade varnish are applied making these coasters great for use in your garden. This varnish is also heatproof so your cups will not stick to the coaster or leave ring marks. Alternatively, this slate decoupage coasters can be used indoors.
Wash with warm soapy water. Not dishwasher safe.
