Happy Stone Garden Ornament

Lovely happy stone garden ornament. First of all, this stone garden ornament is hand cast from snowcrete white cement in my garden studio. This happy stone garden ornament would look great hiding in the flower beds and make you smile every time you see him smiling back at you as he peeks through.

It is handpainted in lovely high quality outdoor white acyrlic paint and highlighted in places with a light brown for definition. This Happy stone garden ornament is finished in outdoor varnish for added protection and shine.

Snowcrete white cement is more expensive in contrast to traditional grey cement but I love using it as it allows for finer casting similar to the stonecast plaster therefore achieving higher quality castings.

Furthermore, these stone garden ornaments are made with lime added to the dry mixture. As a result when the cement is fully dry this makes them frostproof as lime makes them the stone less porous. Finally, these stone outdoor ornaments are finished in outdoor varnish for added protection and shine. However, it is advisable as with any garden ornament to take in during very cold weather.

About Me

I opened my business in 2019 and became a member of the Professional Crafters Guild in February 2020. I am currently a stockist at The Suffolk Craft Shop, Kersey Mill, Hadleigh. Kersey Mill is part of the English Heritage.

I am a disabled artist and I work from my garden studio in Braintree, Essex. This has all been set up at a good working height as I have very limited usage and reach in both of my arms. I find crafting very good physiotherapy as well as being great for mental wellbeing.
